Unusual sculptures, the material for which is ordinary butter, created by American sculptor Jim Victor.
It is not easy to work with such material, because the oil tends to melt, therefore, to avoid such trouble, the sculptor has to work in a workshop where the temperature should not rise above thirteen degrees of heat.
The greatest difficulties for Jim arise during the manufacture of small parts due to the fact that the oil is very soft, but large-size sculptures, on the contrary, are much easier for him to make.
Jim Victor assures that working with oil resembles the creation of clay sculptures, and therefore the time required to make a sculpture depends largely on its size and, of course, complexity.
Engage in the manufacture of oil sculptures of Jim, as they say, forced life. The sculptor does not hide the fact that such an occupation is more a source of income than the call of the soul.
At the initial stage of his work, Jim Victor preferred traditional materials, for example, bronze or wood, but the result of his work interested only true connoisseurs of art, which did not satisfy his financial needs.
With oil sculptures everything was exactly the opposite. Despite the fact that such work did not arouse much enthusiasm, it brought real money.
Based on customer requirements, the subject of sculptures is also determined. In most cases, Jim has to create piglets, sheep, cows, in general, everything that is closely related to life on the farm.
