Lake District in England
According to photographer Verity Milligan (Verity Milligan), the mountainous region in North-West England with the poetic name Lake District is one of the best places to admire in the fall. The local scenic landscapes with steep mountain slopes, foggy valleys and mirror lakes in the autumn become more beautiful than at any other time of the year.
The name of the region was due to the large number of the largest lakes - Windermere, Ulswater, Bassentwayt, Derwent Water. Here is located the Lake District National Park, and in it is the highest point of England, Mount Skofel-Pike.
