The Irmen breeding plant in the Novosibirsk region occupies3rd place in Russia in the rankingthe largest and most efficient milk producing enterprises. We go there for a short excursion and find out how to make milk.

Breeding factory "Irmen"located in the village of Verkh-Irmen, Novosibirsk region. The main activity is the production and processing of grain, milk and meat. In the structure of marketable products milk is 50%, meat is 16% and grain is 16%. Irmen is ranked 3rd in Russia and 1st in the Novosibirsk region in the ranking of the largest and most efficient milk producing enterprises.

There are 2,450 cows in total. Each of them gives an average of 10 thousand liters per year.

In order for the chick to start giving milk, she needs to grow to 16 months, then gain weight of at least 300 kilograms. She is inseminated in this weight, and in nine months she will give birth to a calf and begin to give milk.
At the age of 3–3.5, the cow is slaughtered for meat.

Wholesalers pay 25 rubles for a liter of milk. The package itself, by the way, costs about 2 rubles:

Every day at 16:00, 9 loaded KamAZ trucks with a “milk” container depart from the gates of the workshop. Until that time, from 8 am, the workers fill the refrigerator with already packaged products.

In hard cow life there is a small bonus -"Automatic comb". They are installed in all barns. The principle of operation is simple. The cow has itching, she comes to the installation, butts her and she automatically starts up, works for a certain time.
